I managed to delete the rogers.pol file (equivalent of the att.pol) and put it back on the xenon without the phone moving it

I created the following files on a micro sd

"Games & Applications"

"Images"

"MTP"

"Other Files"

"Others"

"Sounds"

"Videos"

I also gave them read only, hidden, system attributes but I'm not sure if that makes a difference, I also read that they cannot be 0 in size, I just copied and  renamed some system file to the file names in question

when I used obexftp in linux and the command obexftp -b -c . -c Media -c Java -c cert -p rogers.pol, you must keep the micro sd card ejected, and then only insert it quickly when the file transfer begins that way the phone cannot move the file to the file on the microsd (which is not a directory and thus cannot accept the incoming file), if the microsd is kept inserted then obexftp cannot see the system directories at all it seems?

this is a verified method, because I used the list command in obexftp to see that the file was copied to the right directory

Oooh, this is very promising!!!

The reason why you don't have access to the phone's filesystem when the card is inserted is likely because you have Bluetooth Save To location set to the card (which is generally good).

If you can, could you try this?
1. Delete "Other Files" from phone memory
2. Delete "Others" from phone memory
3. Add fake "Other Files" to phone memory using the same technique
4. Add fake "Others" to the phone memory using the same technique
5. Set Bluetooth Save To location to Phone Memory (now you can access phone filesystem even with SD card inserted)
6. Write a new file to phone memory and see if it gets moved.

I'd try it myself but I don't have a suitable machine handy.  If the above works, then you shouldn't need to do the "quickly insert memory card" again and should always be able to put stuff where you want either in phone memory.

I should add that I killed an SD card by randomly ejecting/inserting, so BACK UP YOUR SD CARD CONTENT BEFORE TRYING THIS!
