I just wanted to report here that I was able to use the MyPhoneExplorer application designed for  Sony Ericsson phones available at http://www.fjsoft.at/en/downloads.php

It detected the LG modem driver with the USB cable but didn't work, however using the toshiba bluetooth drivers with the phone connected as a serial com port it worked and I can browse and transfer the contacts and  phone files & microsd and other functions via bluetooth, you probably could get it to work with other bluetooth drivers as long as serial port emulation is an available function

however it looks the built in file browser cannot see the system files like you can do via the bluetooth obextool in linux

Cool.  I had tried this earlier via cable, but not Bluetooth.  Will give Bluetooth a shot with my AT&T Xenon.

Bummer, on my AT&T Xenon I can only access SIM contacts and files on memory card.

I can't get to the phone contacts or SMS.

What carrier's Xenon do you have?

I am with Fido in Canada

I also can't download any saved sms or contacts on phone memory, since I always save them to the sim card I didn't notice that before, however I can download files from the phone memory, to test I took a picture with the microsd ejected and was able to download it via this program

it also looks like the phone keypad is accessible via this program too, not sure how useful that is
