Nothing that I have found yet. You can move programs from 'Games' to 'Applications' using the menu button in the top right. My shortcut screen has links to both of those and they are some of the most used.

On a side note, my wife and I both got Xenon's around the start of June. Hers recently fell off her belt and was ran over. The screen was 95%+ no longer visible due to cracks and the keyboard was misshapen. I was still able to use the phone to copy the contacts to the SIM using mine as a reference on where to touch. I'm a sucker so a new one is on it's way.

The Xenon is a reliable and resilient phone, even yet to be hacked, it is worth the cost not only of the phone, but the services offered. I love my data cost after seeing what iphone or blackberry data plans run.

the problem with this can the app use the phone's gps? i thought the main problem with this phone is no third party apps can access the phone resources. i can get the mgmaps to install fine on the phone, the only problem is getting it to work with the gps.

im on AT&T btw...

Don't believe any thrid party apps can use the GPS. I know both rogers in Canada and At&t in the US offer a paid app that uses the GPS.

I plan on living without until it's free.

Bell Mobility in canada doesnt seem to support apps or games that arent dl'd from their site as well... Im using the gr501, not sure if that makes a difference.

If pc suite isnt supported I guess the chances of using a flash editor like p2k are pretty slim but does anyone know of any tools already being used in newer lg phones? I was using motorola phones for a while and LG is new to me.

Id cant wait to hack this phone!

Newbie to the LG Xenon - bought recently for my wife.  Just wanted to say thanks for this thread - very helpful.  Why the hell would they have 3rd applications download to the Games folder and not the Applications folder?!?!  I also look forward to the day they hack this phone.  Hacking wouldn't be so popular if they stopped doing stupid things with these phones.

Thanks - I look forward to reading more in this forum.

The Xenon's Java downloader seems to ignore the common tags for specifying the folder the app should land in, so it sticks everything into Games. *shrug*

Tomorrow, I'm going to replace my Rogers.pol file with the att.pol file, and try your method, then revert back to my rogers.pol again. Wish me luck.

It's probably safer to just modify your rogers.pol, as Rogers probably has different servers than AT&T.

If you post your rogers.pol file content, I can give you some guidance.

Either way, Good Luck!
