Hi this is my first post. After months of screwing with different apps unable to access file system i finally found a way to read ebooks on this phone. I read a lot of books and this works really well. It has a few steps but its quite easy. First you need to convert your txt files to ansi format so they will display properly, you can do this with notepad. If you dont already have Calibre it is an excellent free ebook manager and will convert most book formats to txt. You can get it here http://download.cnet.com/Calibre/3000-2125_4-10910277.html?tag=mncol Once you have your ansi txt file install a program called tequila cat reader on your pc. Here is the download link: http://tequilacat.org/dev/br/download/tcbr-2.2.27-2.3.5.zip unzip the files and run shell.exe
The first option is to select phone model. I left phone model at MIDP2 Touchscreen Phone. Click configure books. Click add book, and select all the books you want to have on your phone. I loaded around 10 books and it seemed to work great. Click Fonts and Colors, and set it to your preference. I prefer a black screen with white text, its easiest on the eyes when reading in the dark in bed. Click set path and properties. Choose a location where you want your Jar and Jad files to be saved. Make sure create Jad files is selected. At the bottom choose a book name for your book or collection of books, and choose a file name beside it. Click the build button in the bottom right. After its done close the program. Open the jad file with notepad and add the following to the bottom of the code

MIDlet-Touch-Support: true
Navi-Key-Hidden: true
UseNativeTextButtons: false
ReverseSoftkeys: false
UseNativeCommands: false
LGE-MIDlet-Height: 400
LGE-MIDlet-Width: 240
LGE-MIDlet-TargetLCD-Height: 400
LGE-MIDlet-TargetLCD-Width: 240

That will remove the stupid dpad and keep your books fullscreen. You click on the screen to scroll. Go to http://www.sharejar.com/wap_uploader.php?mess=main and upload both your jar and jad files. Make sure your files are under 2mb. You dont need to create an account or anything. You will then receive a WAP code. On your phone go to sharejar.mobi and enter the code. Your books will automatically be installed to your phone. Your all done. Once you have the app loaded on your phone, open it and click the center of screen to bring up the menu. If you like you can mess around with the settings, it really is a nice ereader which lets you change fonts and colors as you like. I really enjoy having all my books with me wherever i go. I find its real handy at night and for breaks at work.
Hope this helps someone, happy reading!

Seems an awful lot of work. If I go Menu>3rd tab(organizer)>other files, I can click on a .txt file and it will open fine.

Less work wins

Opening the file using the phones built in viewer only works for small txt files, not for books. It's not really much work, its like 4 clicks. Open in tequila cat reader, save as jar file, upload to sharejar.com, download to phone. Tequila cat reader is a proper ereader, not just a document viewer.
