Hey everyone, I thought I'd like to share something with all of you who have been wanting games/apps in full-screen without the on-screen virtual keypad.

Simply open the .jar file with WinZip or WinRAR, go to the META-INF folder, and open the MANIFEST.MF file.

At the bottom of the file, insert the following lines to make it full-screen in portrait view:

LGE-MIDlet-Width: 240
LGE-MIDlet-Height: 400

If you want the game/app in full-screen in landscape view, insert these lines:

LGE-MIDlet-Width: 400
LGE-MIDlet-Height: 240

If you extracted the MANIFEST.MF file, then drag it back into the .jar file, and into the META-INF folder.

If you can't get the game/app to run from your memory card, upload the .jar file to a website, and download it from there from your phone; as most games/apps don't work directly from the memory card.

This has not been posted anywhere on the internet, after extensive searching, so I thought I'd post my findings here.

FOR THOSE WHO DON'T KNOW, THESE ARE THE DIFFERENCES BETWEEN PORTRAIT AND LANDSCAPE:

Portrait:

Landscape:

This is interesting. I have tried the other ways on here without luck. I may have to give this one a shot.

Well, I had to take out a lot of what was there and I had to use some of the other advise as well but I am now the proud owner of boomshine on my xenon, sans softkeys. I tip my hat to you good sir. I look forward to messing with other games that I have long since forgotten.

I hope this helps some people. If there's an error, or something that anybody would like to add or ask, please post here.

There's another line that'll help...
MIDlet-Screen-Mode: Landscape

If you use the landscape dimensions.
This will tell the app the proper orientation so it'll map the arrow keys properly on apps that assume portrait (Opera, Bolt, Google Maps, most others).

You can get more of the parameters in my other thread:
