i know from experience that sometimes people will get ur phone and read all ur messages well i found a way to hid them. First put ur messages into standard veiw now select delete all read messages after that it will say u have no messages but text yourself anything just to test what i'm telling is true. You will recieve that message and it will be the only one there but now switch is back to conversation veiw and all ur " lost messages" reappear =)

This isn't really "hiding" your text messages.  When you "delete all read" it actually deletes all of your read, received texts.  What becomes "hidden" in standard view is your SENT messages, and when you return to conversation view, all of these sent messages will reappear.   Any recieved messages will not reappear when returning to conversation view, because they were actually deleted.  *DO NOT* follow the original instructions in this thread if you wish to keep any of your received texts.

Additionally, by entering standard view you are only hiding your sent messages from the "inbox" view.  Anyone could still go into your outbox and view your sent messages.  The only thing that might throw someone off if they are snooping around in your phone is that since your outbox typically reads zero (0), they may think your outbox is empty.  It typically reads zero because the number in parenthesis only includes messages that failed to send, not ones that were sent successfully.

Yup, same here on AT&T 1.0f firmware.
Delete All Read Messages really does delete them.
