Well, im new to the forum and JUST bought the XENON  two days ago from BEST BUY....and the reason im scared is because i had to sign the 2yr contract with AT&T (of course) and NOW i've been reading ALL OVER the web that most likely i WILL have problems with this phone....especially with the phone NOT switching to landscape view once you open the keyboard. From what i have been reading, it WILL eventually freeze on me!!!....i've had it 3 days and NO PROBLEMS YET....but dang, is this phone really THAT bad??? Undecided....I dont want to be stuck with something for 2 years i will have problems with EVERY MONTH or whenever!!...Does anyone have :

any advice on the screen freezing? How long have some people had their XENON here?? have alot of you OR the majority of you had the screen freezing issue once you open the keyboard? If so, how long did it take to happen??...also, i've read al over that if you buy a LG XENON from BEST BUY, you have less problems but i dont see how thaT would effect anything??....anybody got theirs from Best Buy, (i did).....

should i just hope for the best or TAKE BACK NOW, while im in my 30 dayz??...lol...

As long as you are careful with the phone, and don't abuse it, you should be fine. I've had the phone for a couple of months, and I haven't had any problems so far. Stay away from magnets, and your screen shouldn't freeze up. Don't slide the keyboard in and out for fun, or harshly. Follow those tips, and you shouldn't have any problems.

thanks for all the info....also, i noticed that alot of people having trouble with their XENONS seemed to have gotten them close to or around the time they originally released....is it possible that one bought today may be better than a Xenon bought on release day due to updates and such??..thanks again

I've had it two months now. So far it only froze up on me once while trying to switch from the music player to text messaging. My only real gripes about the phone is the slowness of loading images and songs from the microSD chip every single time you go to view pictures or play music, and the fact that you can't synchronize contacts with the PC.

Other than that I like the phone. Though when the next phone on my family plan comes up for renewal (November) I may give this one to my wife and get something that plays nicer with the PC.

I've had the phone since June and i've never had any problems with the screen or anything. it froze up like once or twice but only because i think i had too many apps running at once (web browser, IM, texting)

like they already said just be careful and not too careless with ur phone.
and definitely get a screen protector you won't regret it.

i was just reading this over, and why is it bad to get a hard rubber case???...because (unfortunately, im guessing) i have one of those cases...
