unlock fido/roger LG Xenon

Just wondering if I unlock LG Xenon from Fido/Roger, am I able to install java app. and put mp3 as ringtones directly?

Unlocking a phone only lets you use other carrier's SIM cards on your phone.

It does not remove any of the firmware restrictions.

That is the difference between unbranding a phone and unlocking a phone.

Currently there is no known method to unbrand the GR500/Xenon.
