Disable 3G:1. Engineering Menu - 'dial' 3845#*500# or 3845#*501# (menu should pop up when you hit the last # - you do
not need to press Call/Send)
2. Select Modem Setting
3. Select Network Mode
4. Select Network Mode (again)
5. Select 2G Only
You can also force the frequency band if you want, but that's extreme and may lead to no coverage in some areas.
