LG Xenon - Told in AT&T store not to buy Xenon?

Told in AT&T store not to buy Xenon?

I've been told three times now in AT&T stores that I shouldn't buy the LG Xenon. The AT&T store reps tell me that the LG Xenon is bad and they always try to sell me one of the Samsung phones. I even had a guy today tell me the LG Xenon has been discontinued and that he isn't allowed to sell it anymore. I can't find anything online that says the phone has been discontinued.
Does anyone know if this phone has been discontinued? Any guesses why the store reps don't want to sell me a LG Xenon? Is the phone that bad, or is there some other reason?
Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.

Phone reps almost always work off commission. They are probably trying to sell you the samsung because it pays better for them.

Never go to carrier stores for a phone. They will always try to trick you into buying a more expensive phone which in turn, creats more money for the salesperson. Demand to see the manager and ask him. Undecided

i went to try one out and the saleman said xenon is discontinued..i went on ebay...att gets enough of my money already

the phone actually was discontinued.... i bought one at Wal-Mart though Cheesy

they still had a bunch in stock and were trying to get rid of them.

I love my Xenon. I had a RAZR 2 which was a great phone but I wanted a phone I could put my work schedule on with ease and the Xenon's note pad app is awesome to do that. I have yet to have an issue with the phone and I have dropped it on the ground 3 times ( something I never did with my RAZR 2). So I think it is a good phone.

FIDO store in Canada said they had a few Xenons returned for servicing and discouraged me to get one but since I had a free upgrade, I got Xenon anyway and am quite happy with it so far.
