Word of advice: Purple text on gray background is incredible difficult to read.  I had to highlight your message to read it.

What you want is the Phone Lock for the Pin, and Screen Lock for locking the screen.

It's in the Phone Settings (tap the thing that looks like 4 on a die - that'll take you to the Top Menu), then tap the gear (that'll take you to the Settings menu), then tap Phone, then tap Phone Lock or Screen Lock.

Spend some time exploring your phone's options and read the manual - it's not great by far, but there is some reasonable stuff in there.

Is there a way to have the prompt a passcode request automatically each time the screen locks itself? I don't like having to create a short-cut for the security folder or going through the entire menu just to have a password set.

Just looked through the menus and I didn't see anything.
