No idea to be honest. I haven't had any problems.

Have you checked with your service provider?

First, try restarting your phone. If that doesn't help, then try calling AT&T. I had a problem where I couldn't send texts, or make any calls, and restarting helped.

Well if the refusal to send messages is random(every few days) I have that too. Restarting it is possibly the problem or if your SIM card is old(old cingular one).

I got a new 3g AT&T one, and I haven't had a problem since.

I know metal messes with cellphones. In my school, there is a lot of metal in the ceiling, being an old school. It messes with the signal, and even though you may have full bars, you can't send texts or make any calls. If there's a lot of metal nearby, try going somewhere else. If that still doesn't help, I would call the carrier, or the retailer.

Well I work outside in the open, away from metal buildings, and I have had this problem before. I hate to say it, but it might just be the phone mis-firing, causing the message not to be sent.
