Since I don't have a data plan and cannot connect to the net, I was wondering what the software updates do? Did you try it? Is there anyway I can download the software update with my microsd card?

Currently, there is no available software update, so I wouldn't worry about it. The mobile download would be the only way to install one, at least until they come out with usb drivers for this phone.

There are USB drivers.  They're in the Modifications section.  Or link in the PDF in my sig.

as of 6:00, June 18, 1010 there is a software update for the LG Xenon GR500!!!!!! i just installed it...   Tongue

Thanks for letting us know.  My AT&T Xenon finally tells me an update is available.  Grabbing it now...  Maybe I'm just dreaming, but hoping that it opens things up more than locks it down!

I now have GR500-V10o-MAY-13, like someone else here has posted.

So far, no differences seen from prior version I had (1.0j)...

Will update if/when I find anything different.  Might just be incremental bugfixes.

Link?? what? you just do it from your phone... my current Software Version is GR500-V10o-MAY-13-2010-ATT-US
and obviously i have at&t...

As far as i have seen the software update must have been to stratin out some kinks in the coding or something, because i havent seen any visual updates, and it still freezes when i click on a conversation, but i havent seen it freeze when sending a message since? also there the update did nothing for the themes...

I was hoping at least the LG PC Suite II would work, but no go...  Seems AT&T broke that functionality on purpose, rather than by accident.

Will compare filesystem files and check other things when I have time (may not be for a while).
