The screen on my Xenon just died.  For no reason.  I pulled it out of my pocket one afternoon and the screen was dead.  Looked to be shattered on the inside, but no damage on the outside.  Annoying.  The phone is only 4.5 months old and had no physical damage.

So if anyone knows a way to get LG or AT&T to fix the phone for free, that would be great.  But I doubt it will happen.

What I'd really like to be able to do is retrieve my list of contacts from the phone.  They are all in the phone, not on the SIM card.  And I can't use the screen at all to move the contacts to the SIM card.  I've got a microUSB cable and can plug it in to the phone, but I see nothing.  Any software I can use?

Much thanks to anyone who can help me with this!

  Mine did exactly the same thing (except the screen is not broken)as this and now it will not let me communicate with it at all.  It does not recognize te touch screen.  There is no help at this point according to the customer service rep. I spoke with.  He recommended 3rd party software to retrieve your data but he doesn't seem to understand me when I tell him it will not recognize the touch screen & without that it is a worthless piece of equipment.  Took it to At&T, they can't help either, recommended a data recovery company, just talked to them and they cannot help.

BTW, the info I need is critical to a current lawsuit and I can't get it!!!!

My wife's was ran over but the touch screen would still respond. I held hers and mine and tapped through in the same spots on both to copy the contacts to the sim card. Best recommendation I can make if it's an option.

Pull out the memory card and connect the USB.  If you're lucky, your phone is in USB Mass Storage mode and its contents will be accessible via computer.

You could also try Bluetooth FTP.

There are two parts to the touch screen - the touch mechanics, and the display mechanics.

Sounds like jkd's phone's screen is broken.  I had the same issue with my phone after a nasty drop.  The touch screen still worked, it was just difficult to use since parts of the screen weren't visible.

@Kentuckylady:
I understand your desperation, but this is the 5th thread you've posted the same thing on... keeping it on one or two threads will make it much easier for you to get help. Smiley
I replied specifically to your issues on this thread.
