My gps is no longer working. I was wondering if it could be settings or if it could be the gps chip in my phone..

Does anyone know where i can find the appropriate settings that should be in the eginnering menue thingy or post the vital ones that you find on your phone\?

I just got my replacement xenon in and this replacement GPs is working sooo im kind of bummed out

If you're on AT&T, does the Yellow Pages app read the GPS?  It make take a while to get a fix, especially if GPS reception is not good.

Sometimes rebooting the phone will help . Try turning it completely off the back on .

GPS signal strength and 2G/3G signal strength are completely separate.

GPS requires line-of-sight to the satellites in the sky, so that's why it works poorly or not at all indoors.

thumpsounds has good adivce - try rebooting.  If that doesn't work, pull the battery for 30 seconds.

hahah the gps chip was gone or something in the replacement i was sent i recieved another and it works 100% now. and yes the xenon has a standalone gps chip if im right. unlike most phones that use GPRS or something that uses 3 cell towers for gps

Wow weird.

Correct, the Xenon has an actual GPS unit.  It doesn't fake it with cell tower triangulation.
