Hello.  I went to m.google and downloaded the gmail app to my phone.  It seemed to download ok, but when I went to look for it, I couldn't find it!  Tried it the second time, it informed me that it had already been installed.  I have looked everywhere, but to no avail.  Looked on the forums, and couldn't find anything.  advice anyone?

It should be in Applications, under... hmm, can't remember which menu.  It's where the rest of the Java apps are.

Java apps will load either in Applications or Games.

Howdy.  Thanks for the advice.  I had looked everywhere for it, including the applications folder, but I didn't think of looking in the games folder.  Lo & behold, there it is.  Now the problem is how do I get it from the games folder on to my favorites page?  I can get all of the games menu over, but all I want is the gmail icon.

thanks.

You can move Java applications between Games and Applications, but as far as I know, it doesn't allow you to put a shortcut to a particular Java application as a shortcut on the home screen.

Technically it should be possible as AT&T Navigator and some other preinstalled Java apps are there, but the system doesn't let you do it.  The best you can get is a shortcut to Applications.

I used to just leave Gmail running (use the multitask button to return home, rather than closing it out), but if you're not on an unlimited data plan this may be unwise.
