I deleted a contact from my address book and it has disappeared from there, but when I text message that number still comes up as a choice for me to select with no name attached. How do I remove this number from my phone completely?

I assume you just got the phone?

It's a slight bug that happens in new phones.  (You'll notice other things with your contact list as well)

Just take your battery out, wait a few minutes and put it back in.

I wonder if the contacts are in the phone memory.  You should be able to delete it from the memory manually...

just for future people that have this question- I ended up calling my provider and the predictions that are popping up for texts can not be deleted, they go away in time as you stop texting that person, kind of a bad feature if you ask me on LGs part

This issue still sounds exactly like the problem I (and lots of other users) had with the Xenon.  My phone was started at the ATT store.  For about 2 days I couldn't figure it out until I got on this site and did the battery thing.

It completely solved all the issues I was having with the phone.  I only left mine out for like 1 minute.

Which predictions are you talking about?

The dialing suggestions/predications can be cleared.
Go to the Recent Calls list, tap the Options button (upper right under the battery indicator) then Delete or Delete All the Dialed Calls).

Yes, at least the ones in phone memory.  I deleted mine because they annoyed me.
