basic question here... where do most of you save your contact info to... your handset, or your SIM ?
What are the advantages / disadvantages of each ?

I save everything to my phone, but I have many things saved to my SIM. The SIM card doesn't have as much storage, and often it doesn't support as many fields as your phone does.

Pretty much, if you save it on your SIM, you don't have to worry about "what if my phone gets beaten by a bat..." you will always have your numbers even when you get a new phone.

But, on your phone you can have more and have more info saved for each contact.

I just have stuff saved on my SIM as a backup and use the phone's default memory when I am actually using the phone.

i noticed when i got the new phone att saved my #s to the sim...but only 250 were saved and i have way more #s and contacts than that...

then when i opened them in the xenon they were all seperated...if i had a persons house cell & work # that was 3 separate entries...

i just bluetoothed my entire contact list to my new phone and worked like a charm...everything was exactly how i had it in my old phone...
