I'm interested in this. I have the same problem, and I am on ATT also.

I can't even get the Bluetooth File Transfer to work on my Xenon.  It's an advertised service, but my BlueSoleil stack says it can't get to it.

I've been loading JARs and JADs via the MEdia Net browser and WAPHQ.net

idk if this will work or not but could you put the files you're wanting onto your memory card via your computer and install them that way? I was able to do that on my BB but I dunno if you can on the Xenon or not. I haven't tried it yet.

I can copy jar and jad files to my Rogers Xenon using bluetooth or USB cable, but the phone will not run them unless they are downloaded directly to the phone via m. or wap. sites.

I figured out how to load Java apps via the memory card, so you can try this method, though I can only vouch for it working on AT&T...

Also note that JAD files with a MIDlet-Install-Notify line may end up using Internet access since I believe this is a "phone home" function for the installer.
