I am new here and searched to see if I could find an answer to my question but had no luck.  I have had my phone for a few months now and sorry to say just realized I has camera settings for my phone and I am wondering if I can actually make my camera take better pictures by changing up the setting.

Can anyone tell me what I should change them to?

So far I have changed my size to 640x480, had no clue that by doing that I could zoom in.....lol

Thanks so much in advance for all you help.

The max camera resolution is 1600x1200 - that's where the 2.0 MP resolution comes from - 1600x1200 = 1,920,000

The "zoom" just takes less of the imager's resolution (crops it) before it scales to the desired resolution.

One thing you probably want to do is set the Image Quality to Super Fine.  This affects the quality of the saved JPG.  Super Fine will result in a larger file size, but potentially a better quality image.  If you don't have a memory card or take a lot of pictures, you might want to sacrifice the quality and/or resolution in order to store more images.  Otherwise, put them both on max.
