Author Topic: assign a ringtone to a contact!?!?  (Read 629 times)

I succeded in croping a file down to size to use as a ringtone, finding it in the phone etc...
But now i want to assign that ringtone to just one contact, cause its something i could do with my LG RUMOUR.

I go; MY STUFF­>AUDIO> CHOOSE THE RINGTONE> IT STARTS PLAYING>MENU>USE AS>RINGTONE ID.
Then the problem is that i have a list of contacts to choose from but its EMPTY. I try to search a contact but nothing comes up. I calledthe tech guy to no avail, went to the store where i bought the phone but no help there.

Would really apreciate it if someone has an answer to my probleme

P.S tried using a ringtone that came with the phone.....didn't work

Sounds like you don't have any Phone contacts.  You can only assign ringtones to contacts stored in the phone, not SIM contacts.

Sorry, ur dishes are gonna stay dirty. tried saving contacts to phone. was already on PHONE AND SIM CARD. even tried creating a new contact. gonna bring the phone back to the dealer. mabye get a new one. or have it shipped away for a hole fucking month.... I DONT WANNA!!! their gonna lend me a fucking retard samsung phone. TECHNO JESUS HATES ME!!!!

OTHER IDEAS ARE WELCOM, thx for the help.

That's interesting...

Which carrier's Xenon do you have? (AT&T, Rogers, Fido, etc)

My list shows my contacts...  Maybe pull the battery for 20 seconds, then replace.  Especially if it's a new phone, a full reboot helps it get things figured out.
