Ya and if you look closely enough at those it completely covers up the 2 phone buttons and your menu button on the bottom of the phone.

I would recommend this if you drop your phone alot it is a bit thick and its to hard to touch the buttons on the side hard to touch the buttons on the top row of the keyboard unless you use the tips of your thumbs or fingernails but I dont and it lifted up a corner the top part and the bottom part of the xenon (if you understand that) and blocks your mic a little bit
its just not a good case for me. Anyways I bought mine at At&t i think for around $10-$20 not sure my mom went and bought me on cause my last xenon i dropped it but since before i dropped it had dead pixels i got a new one.

I have a hard case and yes its a little difficult to hit the lock button, and the top row of the keyboard. Another thing I find that I think you all missed,. Is that it covers the very top of the screen in portrait mode, thus preventing the quick setting pull down menu (the one with Bluetooth, Music player, Ring and vibration,etc) that is invoked by tapping the very top of the screen in portrait mode to be accessed.

The snap-on hard "shell" case I got at Best Buy is pretty good - it leaves the screen fully accessible (you can even see the black border area beyond the LCD) and the right side with the lock key and stuff is unrestricted.  A little of the bulk from the screen-side of the case makes the camera and lock buttons a tad bit more difficult to press, but really not a lot different from normal.

eBay is arguably the best site to find cell phone accessories. I purchased a black rubberized case (one without the annoying bar between the physical call buttons and the screen) along with a belt clip, retractable stylus, usb cable, and 2x invisi-shield type screen protectors all for the low price of $18.80 (came to almost $30 with expedited shipping). I found that the individual prices of all the products on eBay are much much lower than the ones on any accessory website and leagues lower than any you can find at AT&T and someplace like Best Buy.

eBay FTW!
